I see a lot of sympathy and shot out posts for ppl who were called geniuses by their teachers and got all A’s in class until mental illness and learning disorders screwed it up

But like

I hardly ever ever see those kinds of posts for mentally ill/learning disabled people who never were good in school, who got constantly insulted and shit on by their teachers and never made good grades ever and had to drop out of school because they couldn’t handle the humiliation

There needs to be more of those posts because tbqh I’m tired of just seeing posts reassuring people who were called geniuses and got all A’s and then burned out because of the pressure.

Learning disabled/mentally ill people who never were successful or talented or gifted in any way are just as valid.
