I understand that saying, “who cares what those people think!” in response to transphobia is intended to make us trans ppl feel better. But the problem is “those people” are also our doctors, employers, legislators, police officers, gym owners, shop keepers, church leaders, family members and neighbors. So yeah, it does matter what they think. Their transphobia does effect us.
