I was going to be on board with this but crossover art is wholesome fun?? chill out

I’ve seen a couple comments like this and I’d like to specify it’s not about crossovers in general or crossover art at all, that part of the post is specifically targeting the sort of “nerd culture” clothing I see that’s simply rushes through production and slams two popular things together without any thought or originality put into it at all, basically combining two popular things so that they can maximize profit without any of the genuine care or love for the involved products put into it (specifically large companies that do this, not fan artists having harmless fun)
