Today I made the unfortunate discovery that Jim Carrey was once a conventionally handsome prettyboy. As in, you could describe him as “elegant” and possessing “chiseled good looks” and wouldn’t be off the mark. With a neutral expression on his face, he looked… pretty. Serene.
But the moment he displays an emotion, the illusion is shattered. It’s like he went and used some exclusive mods in character creation that altered the way reality affected his face. Physics just work differently for him. He is an average-looking dude under the eldritch forces that animate his face.
