Lukewarm take I think but it’s such a shame that people are a bit disillusioned with Magic story as of late and WotC did such a poor job setting up expectations for it because the recent short stories for Ravnica have been such a delight and I’ve enjoyed them all immensely but it’s sad that no one’s talking about them. These stories could have been such great fodder and inspiration for fan characters because they give us a look at what real people in the Guilds are really like and what it’s like to be a part of them.

This is in no way any of yall’s fault I just wish that these wonderful little vignettes didn’t come off of the hype that WotC so poorly set up off of War of the Spark and all the Bolas nonsense leaving everyone super worried about what’s going to happen to this beloved plane. I think they deserve a chance to shine and WotC should have set our expectations for what we were going to be getting as far as story for like a year a little more clearly.
