man pokemon shield/sword just reminded me why i HATE scotland being used in any sort of way in any media

people online just use it as a chance to laugh at how we speak and talk and our own language and culture. scottish people have become a literal joke online and a totally acceptable country to rip on for their language/accents, ykno, historically oppressed languages we had to fight for the right to speak in our own country

its nasty and wreaks of english colonialism.

scotland is home to some of the most famous authors, fairytale writers, novelists, and poets in the world. we arent illiterate just because our language is phonetic and our accents are strong.
