im not even joking when i say that if bolas has recruited tibalt the ideal way the story would play out is he ends up becoming the gatewatch’s greatest ally because he’s such a god awful minion. sabotaging bolas’s schemes at every turn, the absolute madman. i would genuinely love that from the bottom of my heart. tibalt is so good we just dont yet realize his true talents

this is right along with the theory that tibalt doesn’t actually suck he just doesn’t like helping you. like, yeah, he’s got cool powers, but will he use them? for two mana? absolutely not
