You can and should pirate D&D rulebooks

Spend that money supporting smaller groups (Lame Mage and Evil Hat being secondary names that are larger but still small) or independent publishers (exs. John Harper, Ben Robinson, and Avery Adler)at sites like Drive thru RPG or their own host sites.

WotC (and to an extent Paizo) is a bloated entity that captures way too much of a very rich and diverse marketplace of games, overshadowing and leaving in the dust great games from smaller producers that encourage much more rich and robust role playing experiences.

D&D needs to be ousted from the limelight and needs to stop being near synonymous with TTRPGs.

The Trove is what I use.
