Bless monopoly-driven pop culture homogenization for making snobbery more accessible than ever. 20 years ago “i don’t like superhero movies” wouldn’t have gotten you a second look but now it immediately turns you into the most insufferable arthouse film bitch in the room.

Back in the day you had to be DEEP in the TTRPG scene to be an indie snob but now 5e dominates the market so hard that having played one (1) game of Pathfinder gives you indie gatekeeper cred.
