hypersexuality is not the “opposite” of asexual, and isn’t even a sexual orientation. hypersexuality is a symptom of many mental illnesses, or developed as a response to sexual trauma, and just means a very increased sex drive.

people often forget that sex drive =/= sexual attraction!

so for all my fellow hypersexual asexuals, you and your experiences are valid. your hypersexuality doesn’t make you any less asexual!! hypersexuality and asexuality are both two valid parts of your identity that in no way cancel each other out !
