What even are uniforms?

Midna and Zelda for the coffee shop au! not sure where they will fit in but, i’ll figure it out. i wish i was better at thinking up scenarios lol 

(oh, and i decided on 2 uploads a week, monday and friday. This is coming out today just cause i missed monday lol)

i was reading a generic post-twilight princess fic where as usual people misinterpret princess zelda into someone who’s cold and heartless and wasn’t at all affected by midna’s departure. she was telling link something like ‘you’re being unrealistic and you need to move on with your life’. but it made me think a little bit, imagine zelda putting on an indifferent face because she’s trying to deny the immeasurable pain she has been in ever since midna left. 

link tends to wear his heart on his sleeve; he’s not as shy with his emotions as he is with his words. he’ll openly sob and cry and doesn’t show the same control. but being a leader zelda has probably been taught to be stone faced and reclusive; a reflection of their very different upbringings. she and midna shared a heart, so i like to think that zelda wasn’t completely unaware of midna’s intentions of breaking the mirror, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if she plagued herself with thoughts of how she could’ve convinced midna to stay, but ultimately pretends that something like that could never have happened, that there’s no way she could ever see the woman she loves ever again, and that she has a duty as queen to move on, to make herself believe that she’s not feeling a sudden emptiness. she’s proved to be very self sacrificing, and taking care of herself is probably something she’s not well acquainted with, if at all. i don’t even know if im wording this right lmao. tl;dr tp zelda deserves to be loved unconditionally, so hurry up and give her a girlfriend @ nintendo

AU where Zelda and Midna are the rulers of rival kingdoms who decide to form a political marriage to repair the relations between their people. They were already friendly with each other, and while there is clashing that comes along with their different traditions and worldviews, the arrangement works out well for both of them. However, eventually they both start to actually fall in love, which presents some complications.
