@memento–moray I am absolutely adopting the Simic/Jinclex nomenclature for my decks now btw.

Simic is when blue and green work together as intended and create a functioning, cohesive deck.

Jinclex is when you mash blue and green together repeatedly, loudly, and with great enthusiasm but find no satisfaction at the end.

What’s the equivalent of this for other color identities, btw?

Like if you want to express “yeah all the colors are technically there but MY GOD it’s such a dumpster fire”

In retrospect, I glazed over the whole “she’s hundreds of years old and he is an honest-to-goodness high schooler” thing real quick in the story, but fuck, if Twilight can get away with it so can I!
