Say nothing, Midna… Your heart and mine were as one, however briefly…
oh my god i just thought about midzel some more and why it’s the best.
okay so you have midna who’s this woman pretty stuck in her ways about how all light dwellers are douchebags (and given the little history lessons the game gives us you can’t really blame her) and that since zelda has lived a life as a princess in the light world and as a member of a race blatantly favored by the goddesses who banished midna’s own people, she couldnt possibly understand what duty or hardship means (re: her conversation with link after the second temple) and by the end of the game she has seen the full extent of zelda and link’s actions and essentially tells zelda that she was wrong about her (if all in this world are like you, maybe you won’t do so bad) but she does it in a cute midna way (being tsundere).
also total headcanon (though it might be straight up canon tbh since theyre hearts were one) that zelda knew that midna was going to break the mirror and she goes into that monologue about how the worlds were meant to coexist and that’s why the goddesses made the mirror blah blah and that was basically her way of telling midna she’d better fucking not but midna does it anyway and after midna’s last words to her (maybe you’ll be alright) zelda stops talking and the wind dramatically blows through her hair right. and you can see that zelda is probably fucked up about it and it makes me want to cry thinking about it and anyway they’re lesbians
Yes! :) omg. I love how intimate this is. It must get lonely to be put in such a position as a princess, but then there’s Midna who could relate to Zelda, who treats her as a person, who loves her for her. I love them :D
whenever Zelda and Midna try to kiss, their crownlets clink together and it’s the most embarrassing shit for Zelda she dies every time because Midna’s laughing so goddamn hard they can’t even perform lip to lip contact properly.
