Phyrexian Ral redesign — copper edition ⚡️

I haven’t explored many compleations outside of color identities, but I thought it would be cool to have the lightning guy coated in a highly conductive metal. Although the design is mostly based on Swarm centurions, I tried to throw in a few Progress Engine and Quiet Furnace motifs as well to convey his original inclinations.

Also I’ve been dying to draw Ral in firefly green.

I feel like I’ve been too much of a perfectionist with these, so I am returning to sketch 😌

While looking for references I found some concept art (Jehan Choo) for blue phyrexians with these big yellow eyes with beaded pupils, and they looked cool so I incorporated them to bring back some of the gold that was lost.
