violence in townal gorkon
I love how the opening segment of Classic perfectly encapsulates each character’s position in regards to the main conflict.
Daniil’s first thought is of his own self importance and capability in cutting them a way out, it’s a Machiavellian point of view which directs his desire to find a vaccine, a preventative measure, rather than a cure.
Artemy notes that “stuffed or not it’s breathing” and approaches the conflict with the desire to heal (the acknowledgement of being stuffed also a further point about how he approaches the knowledge of his fictional nature).
And Clara berates them both to lament that only a miracle could save them without having to destroy something, foreshadowing the sacrifice in both of their parts and even, technically, within hers.
