okay but i like to believe the reason there was unused Sheik concept art in Twilight Princess was because the plan at some point was that when Zelda sacrificed the light in her soul so that Midna could walk in the Light unharmed, instead of fading away entirely, the absence of light would have left her Shadow behind in the form of Sheik. Shadow and Light are two sides of the same coin, and it stands to reason that Zelda carried some within her. I think having Sheik working seperately but simultaneously to save Hyrule would have been an interesting way to illustrate shadow as benign in the same way that Midna and the Twili are
