one of my botw zelink headcanons is that link and zelda love their tiny little house in hateno village so much that the idea of living in a big castle makes them uncomfortable since theyre so used to their cozy lil home. so when its finally time that theyve absolutely gotta move out (no space for their family and its just too hard to run a country from their house),, they dont live in the castle after its been rebuilt. they ask bolson+crew to build them a new, just slightly bigger house on the castle grounds next to the castle instead of living in the castle

👕 soldier armor: link had a set just like this when he was a younger knight and not yet her bodyguard. it was too big for him then (and the one he has now is still a bit too big). she remembers seeing him in that armor before he became the hylian champion and it makes her feel kinda nostalgic..

👕 sheikah stealth suit: he looks so good in it like the bun is such a Look honestly. he just looks great in it and sometimes zelda gets giddy imagining what it would be like if he were a sheikah guard rather than a hylian knight

👕 snowquill set: such a soft and fluffy boy!! she cant resist wanting to hug him because hes just so warm in it. and the cute braids are a bonus

👕 zora armor: she knows who made it for him and what it means.. and shes like honestly same bc the blue and silver just looks so good on him and it makes his eyes look brighter and like Wow like he really looks like a prince its so dreamy..

👕 monster masks: zelda thinks all of the monster masks are HILARIOUS. link shows zelda all the masks and how he learned to act like the monsters after being around them so many times and she cant stop cracking up when he does that lizalfos head twitch or when he puffs up his chest like a lynel she thinks its adorable and cant believe it works

THOUGHT: in breath of the wild, rito are stated to be masters of aerial combat, and all their weapons are built with aerial combat in mind. but how do they wield them? their wings are their arms. their arms need to be flapping or extended at all times in order for them to keep flying. if their arms are constantly occupied with keeping them in the air, how do rito hold and use their weapons? what do they fight with?

PROPOSAL: rito fight with their feet. all rito weapons are meant to be held and used in the talons. when link uses a rito weapon in his hands, he is technically Doing It Wrong.

okay but for reals botw link can cook so many delicious and good foods but he would eat TRASH if you served it to him. he’s a genius chef with no sense of taste. 

on one hand: he can somehow bake a cake in a pot. 

on the other: “so if i put gushers between two fruit roll-ups thats a sandwich right”

anyway. i bet minish cap zelda was such a class clown at the funday school. writing silly things on notes and then very obviously passing them to link so the whole class would laugh when the teachers made her read the note. doodling in class instead of doing work. link falls asleep in class often and shes always ready for a game of “how much can i mess with him before he wakes up”

One of my favorite headcanons for TP Zelink is that after the war Link actually has a hard time sleeping in a bed again just because he’s not used to it anymore, and so he’ll just kind of sneak off into the garden he found wandering around one day and pass out against the oak tree. Turns out that the garden is beneath Zelda’s room, and when she realizes that he’s down there, goes to see if he’s alright. Link wakes up and is very embarrassed over it, but she insists that it’s okay and tells him that he is welcome in her garden whenever he likes. 

After a while, it becomes habit for Link to simply head to the garden whenever he’s feeling stressed out or can’t sleep, and many nights he and Zelda end up having quiet conversations from her balcony, or she’ll sneak down and sit with him. He teaches her all about the constellations in the sky that he’d use to navigate as well as just things he’d learned about them as a kid in Ordon, and in return Zelda would tell him stories and legends and teach him about all of the plants in her private garden. 

They never mention it during the day, although they will take to having tea outside together over the years during the restoration.

omfg this is my fave, and link is always bogged down with either following through with zelda’s schemes or doing the right thing, but before he can even manage a word zelda lifts him and runs the fuck outta there!! i like to think minish link is the very cautious one out of the two– i can imagine her recklessness can lead to a few nicks to the skin and one day shes dragging link to whatever shitfest is about to take place and in her haste she slams into a tree and link is ‘!!!!!!!!! zELDA ARE U OKAY????’. with a black eye all she does is get back on her feet, yell ‘nAW IM GOOD OKAY WHERE WERE WE’

After taking lots of pics of Twili, I discovered that in their not cursed forms, they all have different glowly symbols on them, and different ones for front and back, but in their cursed forms its always the same symbol, and its just the same but mirrored on their backs. The Shadow Beasts also bear this symbol.

My headcanon now is that this symbol from their cursed forms is actually the one Zant has on his body, under the robes. This is based on the fact that the Shadow Beasts and cursed Twili also got dark lines on their bodies and have odd fingers, exactly like Zant.

So I think that when he took over and cursed them, they sorta became more “like” Zant. I think that fits him quite well. He is thus guy who thinks he´s a great liberator for his people, but is actually this bratty manchild on some “ME ME ME” trip.
