here’s my idea for a new type of atheist: guy who believes everything in the bible is true and adamantly insists god created the earth a couple thousand years ago but simply declines to worship him or any other deity
not like christian atheists who believe in jesus’ teachings but don’t think he’s the son of god or ever did anything supernatural, but like a guy who enthusiastically agrees that the son of god really did die on the cross for his sins but just doesn’t care
i don’t mean christians who don’t go to church because that’s half of all americans. i mean a guy who is openly and vocally opposed to worshipping god. says he doesn’t deserve it. he’s the one who chose to make me, i didn’t ask! all those sins are his responsibility. views jesus dying as an inadequate apology, like a youtuber who makes a video apologizing for saying the n word.
